The P3 Class was designed by Wilson Worsdell and was a relatively minor modification of the existing North Eastern Railway Class P2 (LNER Class J26). 2006年3月5日 · In 1928, the LNER installed 58B domed boilers on all of the L-series engines; the LS with the new boiler were redesignated J28/3. Marsden says these were "preferred for passenger work, especially when they were used to assist with the heavy seaside traffic to Hornsea and Withernsea."
