2019年2月14日 · I went LPVO, because this gun was a jack-of-all-trades build. I want to ring steel to 600 yds, but defend the fort, too. From the reviews, this particular LPVO has a nuclear bright halo-dot reticle and a generous eyebox, and other owners said it didn't give up much if anything to a red dot. Who knows. I guess I'll find out when it comes in.

If you need to engage various targets at 300-600 yards, quickly, while maintaining a FOV that encompasses all targets, you might not want your LPVO on 8x. 5x might prove to be much quicker.

And more force may actually be transmitted to internals when the scope body doesn’t absorb the forces as much through deformation.

Most LVPO setups I've seen have the ocular lense pretty much on top of the charging handle so that's not much room.

2020年8月22日 · For a higher mag LPVO, 1-8/1-10, Id be leaning toward a higher scope mount, and raise the offset red dot height slightly. Likely 1.7” height scope mount and 1.93” mount for the red dot. With the LPVO, you can CQB on 1x primarily and mag up for longer shots.

I have my favorites, and right now my main optic is the NF NX8 1-8x, which is the brightest illumination I’ve seen yet in an LPVO (different illumination than the ATACR). My Kahles is an amazing scope, and it has a massive eyebox and a huge FOV.
