2014年7月1日 · on a little v8 british car forum there is a whole deal about the ls4, the above mentioned dodge bellhousing, and attempting to mount a traditional starter. apparently the prototype ls4 had a front sump oil pan and the starter mounted directly to the bottom of the pan.

Yea, 50mph is a weak spot for the SS - most cars have that spot somewhere between 35 and 50 mph where they won't grab 1st, but are real buried in 2nd.
