USS LST-562 was a United States Navy LST-542-class tank landing ship in commission from 1944 to 1946. Construction and commissioning. LST-562 was laid down on 28 February 1944 at Evansville, Indiana, by the Missouri Valley Bridge and Iron Company.

One Landing Craft Tank (LCT), tanks, wheeled and tracked vehicles, artillery, construction equipment and military supplies. A ramp or elevator forward allowed vehicles access to tank deck from main deck. Additional capacity included sectional pontoons carried on each side of vessel amidships, to either build Rhino Barges or use as causeways.

During World War 11, LST-562 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific theater and participated in the Morotai landings in September 1944 and the Tarakan Island operation in April and May 1945. Following the war, LST-562 performed occupation duty in the Far East until mid-December 1945.
