HPC@LSU provides computational resources to the LSU campus and LONI members statewide. Provided services, such as the help desk and consulting, are available to all supported users. Online training sessions and and other education resources are available to all.

HPC@LSU provides system administration and consultation support for the Louisiana Optical Network Infrastructure (LONI) supercomputers as well.

SuperMike-II provides enhanced support to the current science and engineering user-base for research ranging from numerical relativity to coastal modeling to molecular dynamics and protein folding. The SMP component will allow new work to be done in the area of graph theory, genome sequencing, and quantum mechanics.

Our mission is to help users adopt high performance computing (HPC) resources to advance their research. The HPC resources available to LSU faculty, research staff, and students include local machines, statewide resources provided by the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative, and national level resources provided by the NSF via the XSEDE project.
