Driving on Kamehameha Hwy you will turn on Anemoku Street just across from the Foodland Gas Station in Laie town. If you enjoy watching big crashing waves, Laie point will not disappoint you. 2022年5月9日 · Located at the end of the Laniloa Peninsula, the main interest of the Laie Point State Wayside Park more commonly known as Laie Point is its famous islet with a hole (puka) in the middle. This natural arch was formed after a tsunami in April 1946.

Laie Point juts into the Pacific Ocean, giving visitors picturesque and breathtaking ocean views. Of note is the small island to the left of Laie Point with a hole through the middle caused by a 1946 tsunami. The hike to the point is short and easy, but be careful near the tip where wet lava makes walking slippery.

Offering epic views, good fishing, and great photographic opportunities, Laie Point is a must-see along Oahu's northeastern coast. It is located a bit off the main road, so often missed unless you know to look for it. HIGHLIGHTS: The most photographed spot here is the puka (hole) in the rocky island to the left.

The point is a rocky natural pier with cliff diving for the brave and a small bird sanctuary islet just offshore. A natural arch sits within the small islet, a rare treat in these parts. There are plenty of seabirds to watch while the waves crash on the rocks.
