2024年5月30日 · Hello. I (19F) have always had these large circular bumps on the back of my tongue for almost (I’m guessing) 2 years now and i thought everyone had these but apparently not. What could these be? This is the clearest pic i could take.

NAD - I ate a bunch of super sour candy when I was about 8 years old and discovered these on the back of my tongue too. They’re still there to this day. I never noticed them before eating the sour candy I thought it was like a scar tissue or something

2023年5月6日 · I have this weird lump thing right at the back of my tongue, just before it curves down into my throat, plus a slightly smaller one next to it. These are quite big and not usually there and are in and amongst the usual much smaller bumps. Moving my tongue (swallowing, talking, laughing, yawning, etc) is quite uncomfortable.

2023年7月8日 · Scraping my tongue doesn’t get rid of the white patches and it only irritates the red bumps more. I started brushing with baking soda and castile soap making sure to scrub my tongue extra. But I think my tongue is very sensitive to the brushing and has been bleeding and it is causing pain.

The more raised bumps are called fungiform papillae and are normal anatomy. Have you eaten anything really acidic recently (like pineapple)? Could just be a little irritated but looks benign.
