2022年11月17日 · LBN 603, a group of molecular hydrogen clouds in Cassiopeia. Within the group are LDN 1296, LDN 1295, TGU H809, and GA90 3-4. Dark nebulae are often not much brighter than the background sky which is why they generally are not viable options unless you're under considerably dark sky.

In the constellation of Cassiopeia, southeast of the star Shedar, there is a vast molecular nebula area. This very faint zone is made up of interstellar dust, dimly lit by some very young and hot stars.

LBN603 contains three major elements LDN1296, LDN1295 and TGU H809, the brightest of the three. LBN objects also have a brightness scale, (1) being the brightest, and (6) being the dimmest. LBN603 rates at 6 on the scale.

This 1.77 x 1.18 deg. field in Cassiopeia contains several dark and bright nebulae (see mouseover). Embeded in LBN 603 are dark nebulae LDN 1295 and 1296, as well as TGU H809 and TGU H807 (Tokyo Gakugei University catalog).
