Featuring the synergy of computer science with engineering mathematics such as optimization, control, learning, game theory, and heuristics, my work investigates system efficiency, scalability, sustainability, and resilience through modeling, design, analysis, implementation, and evaluation.

Lei Jiao was born in Beijing, China in January 1983. He obtained his BSc in chemistry in 2005 at Peking University, and continued to study synthetic and computational organic chemistry there in the lab of Prof. Zhi-Xiang Yu.

Lei Jiao (Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Göttingen, Germany. He is currently a faculty member at the University of Oregon, USA and was previously a member of technical staff at Nokia Bell Labs, Ireland.

2024年11月22日 · Our research group perform mechanistic and synthetic studies in organic chemistry with an emphasis on in-depth mechanistic understanding. We primarily focus on new reaction and catalyst design based on reactive intermediate chemistry.
