2024年4月22日 · M240 makes perfect sense as a first rangefinder, even if it is older. It is the cheapest FF digital RF option now, a M10 will be around 70% more expensive and the M10-R (latest model before the M11) will be more than double of the M240. I think the M240 prices bottomed out so it will probably keep its value better than the newer models.

2024年12月11日 · Always opt for the M10, preferably -P model. It is the first digital M that Leica has done right. It was a completely new developement, its sensor had the significantly higher sensitivity, it had an ISO dial, WLAN module for FOTOS connectivity, biger OVF, perspective control (-P) which is always on and no nasty green shadows like the M240, not to mention the nasty thicc form factor.

2022年10月3日 · Depends how you intend to use the camera. In RF mode the M240 works fine up to 3200 iso if you don't underexpose but in LV mode both Leica and Olympus EVFs are outdated. Depends also upon lenses. The M240 tends to show red edges with some UWA lenses like CV 21/4 or S-A 21/3.4 but the Rokkor 28/2.8 has not this issue.

2014年3月9日 · Leica should include a 4x6 inch notebook and a pencil with each M kit so owners can keep track of shutter actuations. Maybe that will be a $200 option on the second generation M240. Why does Leica not want M240 users to know how many shutter actuations their camera accumulates? Or is the secret the number of actuations before it leaves the factory?

2024年6月28日 · My wife, happy user with M262 (light and enough) I choose M240 and M246 happily. Results are good enough and so many goodies (battery long life, even video on M240/246), etc. Side note. I bought M10 in 2017 before having M240 "family" second hand (+ M-D 262) to try and now I rarely use this M10.
