The Leopard 2 is a third generation German main battle tank (MBT). Developed by Krauss-Maffei in the 1970s, the tank entered service in 1979 and replaced the earlier Leopard 1 as the main battle tank of the West German army.

Der Leopard 2 A6 ist ein deutscher Panzer, welcher der Nachfolger des Leopard 1 ist. Der Leopard 2 verfügt über eine verbesserte Panzerung, eine 120-mm-Glattrohrkanone und einen modularen Schutzsatz. Der deutsche Panzer ist 1999 erstmals vorgestellt worden und 2001 erstmals zum Einsatz gekommen.
