The Let L-610 is a prototype aircraft for the Czech civil aircraft manufacturer Let Kunovice made in 1988–1997. In the late 1970s, after the success of the LET L-410 twin engine turboprop, the Soviet airline Aeroflot requested that LET design a replacement for the Antonov An-24 aircraft.

The new L-610 Prototype flew for the first time on December 18, 1992, just two weeks before Czechoslovakia split to become the Czech and Slovak Republics.

The Let L 610 is an extended advancement of the prior L 410, and despite the fact that initially intended for a Soviet necessity, in its westernized structure is currently advertised around the world. The L 610 was imagined in the mid 1980s to meet a Soviet Union prerequisite for another 40 seat turboprop carrier.

The L-610 came about from a combination of Let’s logical desire to create an improved follow on to the L-410 and a late 1970s requirement in the former Soviet Union for a small regional turboprop aircraft with more capacity than the L-410.
