Waw (wāw "hook") is the sixth letter of the Semitic abjads, including Phoenician wāw 𐤅, Aramaic waw 𐡅, Hebrew vav ו ‎, Syriac waw ܘ and Arabic wāw و ‎ (sixth in abjadi order; 27th in modern Arabic order). It is also related to the Ancient North Arabian 𐪅‎‎‎, South Arabian 𐩥, and Ge'ez ወ.

The sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is called "Vav" (pronounced "vahv") and has the sound of "v" as in "vine." In modern Hebrew, the letter Vav can appear in three forms: Write the manual print version (or "block" version) of Vav as follows:

The letter Vav is the sixth letter in the Hebrew alphabet. Through the ancient Phoenician language, the letter Vav actually became the modern letter “F” used in the English and Latin alphabets. Unlike many other letters in the Hebrew alphabet, the original meaning of the letter Vav actually seems quite obvious and straightforward.

"Vov" is the sixth letter in the Hebrew alphabet. Vov represents figurativly a single line of light, from the Infinite Source of G-d in the process of Creation. The Vov appears at the beginning of the sixth word of the Torah, and is the twenty-second letter of the verse.

The vowel vov (ו) is spelled with a melupm (a dot in the center of the letter -- וּ) when it appears before or after the consonant tsvey vovn (װ) (for example, װוּ - vu). A melupm is also added to the first vov of two consecutive vovn when both letters are vowels (for example, טוּונג - tuung ).

The Mem Pesucha is made up of two separate letters - a Chof Peshuta, and a Vov. The dimensions of the Mem Pesucha are 3 X 3 kulmusim. That is, the top and bottom of the Chof Peshuta part of the Mem Pesucha, are only 2 kulmusim in length.

2021年2月3日 · However, there is one letter of the Hebrew alphabet that does not begin a pasuk in that chapter – the letter Vov! The reason is that the letter Vov represents truth (it is the os emes). Since the whole chapter deals with Dovid HaMelech deceiving Avimelech by feigning insanity, the letter of truth does not begin any of those pesukim! But still ...

The Letter Vav(or Vov) should be 1X3 kulmusim. The top right part of the Vav should be completely rounded, because if it's squared it would look like a Zayin. The face of the Vav should be straight up and down, not angled.
