2005年1月5日 · Lexus Europe hasn't made any announcements yet on the ES they sell there which is strictly the ES 300h except to say that the ES surpassed 3,000,000 in global sales. The ES 350e and ES 500e may pop up in Europe first but it may appear Lexus has started pumping the brakes on EV introductions in general, at least for the 2025 MY.

2021年9月6日 · The EV side of the latest Rav4 EV was done by Tesla. Don't see how much learning Toyota engineers got from that. This UXe has more in common with the Leaf. For much more price, even after taking into the segment difference. The Leaf is 26k to 33k pounds in the UK, with the latter having more range than the Lexus.

2021年9月6日 · I thought I'd pop on here after watching this British review of the Lexus UX 300e, the first Lexus EV. Since you're all Toyota people, I thought you might be interested. It's weird. This is a new car, but it looks to be exceptionally bad as an EV. The range is pitiful (less than 200 miles WLTP, so possibly less than 120 miles on a cold day).

2021年9月6日 · Those that are Toyota/Lexus faithful willing to pay the premium for it, and those willing to wait for the 'cash on the hood' to bring the price down closer to comparable competitors. Aside from someone that wants an EV now, and all the others are sold out, those are the only groups I see getting an UX300e with its price and specs.

2009年11月6日 · Re: Is it possible to mode a Lexus 400h into plug-in hybrid? Does the RX400h have an EV button? If it does not you would not get much benefit from the Hymotion battery because the programming uses the EV mode. Plus I'm sure all the CAN bus commands for spoofing the SOC are changed so the Hymotion battery would have to be reprogrammed.

2021年9月6日 · That's a huge difference for the Lexus: it's adding more than four hours to a typical EV's trip on the same route. Like I said in my first post, this sort of range works for a city EV like a Fiat 500 or a Honda E, but not for a luxury SUV. Oh, and Scotland hasn't achieved independence yet.

2021年9月6日 · In a Lexus "luxury" car. If even the versions that do have satnav don't have voice activation, then it's another sign of what an absolute bunch of arse this car is. It would, as an EV and as a car, be a bit behind the curve in 2012. I remain mystified as to why Lexus are doing this.
