Li Zongren (Chinese: 李宗仁; 13 August 1890 – 30 January 1969; also known as Li Tsung-jen), courtesy name Telin (Te-lin; 德鄰), was a Chinese warlord, military commander and politician. He was as vice-president and acting president of the Republic of China under the 1947 Constitution.

The New Guangxi clique (Chinese: 新桂系; pinyin: Xīn Guìxì), led by Li Zongren, Huang Shaohong, and Bai Chongxi, was a warlord clique during the Republic of China. After the founding of the Republic, Guangxi served as the base for one of the Old Guangxi clique, one of the most powerful warlord cliques of China.

After the Second Sino-Japanese War began, Li was named the commander of the 5th war area, taking leadership role in the Battle of Xuzhou. He participated in the Battle of Wuhan in Jun 1938, Battle of Suixian-Zaoyang in Apr and May 1939, the Winter Offensive of 1939 to 1940, and Battle of South Henan in Jan and Feb 1941.

Li Zongren is a Chinese Kuomintang-aligned military commander, former warlord in Guangxi currently exiled in Yunnan and, as one of the most trusted associates of the late Chiang Kai-shek, an important military leader during the Northern Expedition of 1926/27.
