So after getting a Lifx bulb I decided to try WeMo. I bought two WeMo kits, after 3 hours on with their help desk at tier two (meaning the first tier of help desk could not help), and with two different styles of wireless I gave up on WeMo. I am planning to spend about $1,000 over the next year to get my whole house switched to LiFx.
