2019年12月3日 · I have a Fierce a Fury chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. It has a Limbsaver recoil pad. I've shot it with a brake as well as suppressed and I have issues spotting my shots. Question is, is the Limbsaver recoil pad partially to blame? Seems like having a butt pad that is squishy isn't necessarily something that would make it easier to spot your shots.

2019年4月1日 · The Limbsaver is a jell filled recoil pad and for the most part has to be a fit to the stock. (It can't be sanded very much to make it fit) without encroaching on the integrity of the pad. The decelerator is designed to be sanded to fit any stock shape without altering its performance. 2013年12月5日 · I have had a couple limbsaver pads do the exact same thing. A giant PITA when they are glued to composite stocks. I'll never own another limbsaver pad. An they haven't been exposed to any heat extremes. Just 68-72* temps in the closet.

2005年5月30日 · I made a special shoulder pad out of 3/4" heavy duty rubber. The added weight and the shoulder pad made things tollerable but 3 shots was about all a fella wanted to do with it. Replaced the Decelerator with a medium size Limbsaver grind to fit pad and lengthened the pull to 14 1/2". The pad was left at full width and was tapered down to the stock.

2024年12月7日 · The Backfire recoil pad is not hype. It performs as advertised. I have both the Limbsaver and Bacfire. On different caliber rifles so hard to compare which one is better. I just bought another Backfire for my Tikka 270, and a Limbsaver for the Remington 700 338 mag, only because there is no Backfire for it at the present time.

2024年12月7日 · All I can say is that they work well. I put on on my Tikka 30-06, which had a pretty hefty recoil and it tamed the recoil right down. Felt recoil is similar to my Model 70, 308. A bit pricey but they do work.

2009年6月11日 · Another aspect beside the brand of the pad, might be the model--currently I switched to the Kick-eez modified trap-I think it fits me better, reduces recoil & promotes a more consistant gun mount. But, what works for me is absolutely no guarantee it will work for you. But, examine all the diffferent pad styles not just the brand. Phil Berkowitz

2019年8月5日 · The stud part would be inserted into the screw holle that holds the recoil pad onto the buttstock and the entire rifle rested on that tool taking pressure off of the recoil pad and placing it on the tool. It would be simple enough to make one out of a piece of dowel, a nail and some blue to hold the stud in place.

2024年12月7日 · The only issue I have ever had with Limbsaver is they will melt. But they are dern good pads. I prefer Pachmayr SC 100 on my shotguns. Limbsaver or Pachmayr decelerator on rifles. Kickeez gets honorable mention. Never heard of Backfire. Actually did a recoil pad trial for a young girl with Scoliosis that shot on my youth sporting clays team.
