Iji is a video game published in 2008 on Windows by Remar Games. It's an action game, set in a sci-fi / futuristic, shooter, rpg elements and metroidvania themes.

Iji is an action-packed strategic platform shooter with large levels, powerful bosses, and lots of secrets. There are alternate gameplay events, dialogues and scenes depending on what you do, and a wealth of extras and bonuses. Features an original soundtrack by Chris Geehan and Dan Byrne McCullhough, Tom Mauritzon, and Captain Goodnight.

A twist on the "lone warrior fights against impossible odds" story of so many other video games, Iji is a freeware action/adventure platform game created by Daniel Remar. Iji is a 20-year-old girl who accompanies her family on a tour of the D.C.M.F.P.R. Research Facility, where her father works, when strange lights lance through the clouds outside.

It has 10 sprawling levels (and even more after updates), 16 different weapons (ditto), a branching narrative, and even voice acting. And all of this is delivered competently…except the voice acting, which is comically amateurish.

Iji was made in 2004-2008 with the help of great musicians, testers, voice actors and friends, and improved upon over the following years. Version 1.7 was released in 2017, and 1.8 in 2021.
