The rebuilt Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 Tender Loco No. 2890 "Douglas" is to go on a medium term loan to the Spa Valley Railway in Kent this summer. No. 2890 will arrive in mid June there and is on hire to the railway until at least March 2021. No. 2890 "Douglas" is located at its base at the East Lancashire Railway at Bury Lancashire.

2890 was originally built as an 0-6-0ST saddle tank shunting locomotive by Hunslet Engine Company in 1943. It was rebuilt by Hunslet in 1962 as a research locomotive and then was operated by the National Coal Board.
