Built in 1942 and now located on the East Lancashire Railway. BR motive power depot allocations since 1948. After withdrawal in 1965, 3855 was sold for scrap to Woodham Brothers and entered the scarapyard at Barry in October 1965. It remained there until August 1987.

The Great Western Railway (GWR) 2884 Class is a class of 2-8-0 steam locomotive. They were Collett's development of Churchward 's earlier 2800 Class and are sometimes regarded as belonging to that class. [1]

2016年1月29日 · The loco was partially re-assembled, and a boiler-less GH4 returned to Riversway in Spring 2006. Built by the Hunslet Engine Co in 1954, works No.3855 and owned by the National Coal Board (NE) and worked at Glasshoughton Colliery. Originally preserved by Steamtown, Carnforth before moving to Steamport Southport.

2012年8月2日 · It is intended to construct the new tender tank insitu over the next few months. Whilst to the outsider little appears to have happened with the loco itself since acquisition from Blaenavon, the acquisition of missing parts, when available continues as does the manufacture of new ones where appropriate.

2024年12月26日 · Shown here are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #3855 and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. Both are K-4's (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #3855 was built in Juniata during April of 1923. They are pulling a 13-car streamliner on the first leg of its journey from the Windy City to Gotham City.
