Loop 12 is a state highway that runs mostly within the city limits of Dallas, Texas. The western segment of the loop is named after General Walton Walker, who served and died in South Korea.

The project includes the reconstruction of interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482. Loop 12 will be completely reconstructed and widened from six to eight lanes for a length of 1.2 miles that begins on the south end of Union Bower Road to north of Texas Plaza Drive.

The Loop 12 TEXpress Lanes span 2.5 miles from SH 183 to I-35E in Dallas, feature one TEXpress Lane in each direction and include new direct connect ramps between Loop 12 and SH 183. Carpool and vanpool drivers, as well as motorcyclists, qualify for an HOV discount on the Loop 12 TEXpress Lanes.
