Lubitel (Russian: Любитель, Russian for amateur) refers to any of the several medium format twin-lens reflex cameras manufactured in Russia by LOMO. The design is based on the early 1930s Voigtländer Brillant camera with various improvements.

2022年3月1日 · The Lubitel is a TLR made by GOMZ from 1949 to 1956. Like its second version the Lubitel 2, an enormous number were produced, so it is not rare. The design is clearly inspired by the focusing Voigtländer Brillant, down to the cross pattern embossed into the viewing hood.

2020年3月1日 · Lubitel is a Soviet medium format twin-lens reflex (TLR) camera that was manufactured at the Leningrad Optical and Mechanical Association (LOMO). Before the production of this TLR camera, LOMO was producing a camera called Komsomolets, which was a pseudo-two-lens reflex camera.

2022年2月28日 · Lubitel (cyrillic: Любитель) means "amateur" in Russian. The Lubitel 2 was made in great numbers by the Leningrad GOMZ (later LOMO) factory. More than two million were produced between 1954 and 1980.

Lubitel is the 1st soviet TLR camera, since old Komsomolets had no possibility to measure the distance through the lens yet. An earliest so far known version was announced in soviet press. The particular type has "Leningrad" markings underneath the shutter.

2023年2月14日 · The Lubitel 2 is almost the same camera as the original Lubitel but featured a brighter finder and added a focusing loupe. The Lubitel 2 proved popular and became a staple export for the USSR, and some two million units were produced, earning much needed hard currency income for the state.

2024年5月25日 · The Lubitel 166 uses 120 roll film and exposes 6x6cm square images. Shutter speeds are from 1/250 to 1/15 and a bulb setting, aperture from f/4.5 to f/22, and the close-focus limit is at just over a meter.
