Discard and Draw: Ludo loses his minions and his castle in the season 1 finale and has to start again from scratch. He comes back stronger with new minions and a wand before losing both again at the end of "Battle For Mewni".

And when he had no more use of Ludo himself, he convinces his minions that Ludo was unfit to lead them and evicted Ludo from his own castle. Ludo is evil, and bent on stealing Star's wand so that he can take over the universe with it. He is very power-hungry, and he leads an entire army of other evil monsters that are out to help him steal the wand. Self-centered, he puts his needs above those of his minions' and doesn't show compassion if they or anyone around him gets hurt.
