I looked into it on the net and by asking in a few forums, and the general consensus is that the P6500 is exactly the same as the equivalent Luminox but just officially rated to 30 metres water resistance instead of 200m for the Luminox.

I went ahead and ordered the Timex Exp Solar 36mm and I ordered the Exp Mechanical 38mm. I prefer the 38mm size but have done some reading on the movement which seems to have mixed opinions on its reliability and durability.

2023年7月25日 · It's a luminox constellation 9601 pilot watch 42mm, different from the usual tough plastic watches they make. Anyway the watch is quite comfortable on the wrist and has a sellita 200-1 movement. It has the tritium 25 year glowing tubes. It's only 100m wr but does have a screw in crown.

2009年5月9日 · I've had watches that are 100m water resistant with NO screw down crown. I wouldn't like to put them to the test tho. Some do, some don't. 200m always have screw down crowns in my experience but not always 100m. I'm not saying this is fact, just my experience.
