Lumsk is a Norwegian folk metal band from Trondheim. [1] The band combines traditional Norwegian folk music and folklore with rock, progressive rock and metal. The group has both male and female vocals with violin, guitar and drums.

Early in 2005, the band won the biggest prize sum ever awarded at Larm (a Norwegian music festival), worth 500.000 NOK (about 62.500 €). That made their plans for the 2005 album Troll possible, including the production of a high-quality video for the song Trolltind.

LUMSK are a progressive Norwegian band who combine traditional and contemporary folk themes and moods with metal and folk-rock arrangements, and with instrumentation that covers many spectrums in between.
