लूणी एक मौसमी नदी है और इसका अपवाह मुख्यत: अरावली श्रेणी की दक्षिणी-पश्चिमी ढलानों से होता है। मिठड़ी, लीलड़ी, जवाई, सुकरी, बांडी, खारी और जोजरी इसकी प्रमुख सहायक नदियाँ है।. लूणी नदी की कुल लंबाई 495 कि॰मी॰ है। यह लंबी धारा वाली इस क्षेत्र की एकमात्र प्रमुख नदी है और यह सिंचाई का एक अनिवार्य स्रोत है। राजस्थान में इस की लंबाई 330 कि॰मी॰ है।.
