M.D. Geist (Japanese: 装鬼兵M.D.ガイスト, Hepburn: Sōkihei M.D. Gaisuto, literally "Armoured Demon Soldier M.D. Geist") is an anime and comic book series about a post-apocalyptic world.

MD Geist was an experimental Super-Soldier known as an MDS (Most Dangerous Soldier) locked away in suspended animation on a satellite hovering over the planet Jerra, sentenced there because of his murderous instability.

Geist is an M.D.S. (Most Dangerous Soldier), an enhanced human with unsurpassed combat capabilities and an insatiable lust for battle. Because of his uncontrollable nature, Geist is cryogenically frozen and locked in a satellite. Several years later, the satellite crashes and Geist wakes up from his sleep to engage in another war.

In the distant future, man has advanced into space and spread to worlds throughout the galaxy. On one such planet, Jerra, a brutal war began between the Jerran army and the Nexram - those who opposed a galactic Earth government.
