Native M1 is limited. Some Steam games work okay, some don't. Hades works well. Game works with mouse and kb, as well as controller (though getting an Xbox controller working reliably is frustrating). It's a plus to do a bit of light gaming on the Mac. Been digging up some older titles on Steam, like FTL.

2021年10月28日 · What’s interesting is that my desktop gets 20-60 fps in the same city. Seems like the minimum fps for M1 Max in wrist case scenario is similar to a desktop ryzen cpu (3800X), but 3800X averages higher frames. I redid the testing on my 400K city and got 15-50 fps on desktop and 15-25 on M1 Max. Similar situation there.

Granted I have an M1 Max, I was able to comfortably run it at 4K on high settings at over 100 fps. I’m not sure the stats on the other M1 chips and I’m not sure how smooth you’re looking for, but the performance seems to be pretty good (be sure to google how to get it to run natively on M1. It involves added a specific line to a config file)

2021年6月3日 · I played 4 games on my m1 air so far - superhot mcd and both subnauticas. In the former I didn't touch any settings in the latter I changed graphics settings to medium and capped fps at 60. No problem whatsoever.

2023年2月21日 · Fighting games seem to play really well, even on a base M1 w 8GB RAM. Really interesting about COD3, it really was a choppy mess for me. One thing I’ve just recently noticed and didn’t mention in this post is that games seem to run much better the second time around after you’ve already compiled all the shaders.
