2020年11月20日 · The M1 MBP also has a brighter screen (500 nits c/w 400 for the Air) and better battery life (although to be honest my M1 Air lasts all day anyway). Another factor is the Touch Bar, I have been using a 2016 15" MBP for 4 years and hated the Touch Bar, so going for the Air without it, actually offset some of the other benefits of the M1 MBP for me.

My first machine was a 8GB/512GB (8 core GPU) it ran amazing Under any load you could imagine. (With the M1 architecture 8GB of ram is really like 20+GB of ram. I currently own a 16GB 1TB M1 Air, and the performance is very comparable.

With the unified memory architecture - combined with the sheer speed of the M1's single core performance - it would appear that users are generally quite interested in pushing their system to the limit as real world tasks are so quick.

2020年5月1日 · I just side-graded from a 2018 Mac mini (Intel i7, 32GB) + Vega 64 based eGPU to a 2020 Mac mini (M1, 16GB) and can confirm that the M1 mini has much more powerful graphics than the 2018 mini (unless you add an eGPU of course, which is why I got the Vega). So far I haven't encountered any GUI stuttering, neither running native 4K nor downscaled 5K.
