The M111 engine family is a straight-4 automobile engine from Mercedes-Benz, produced from 1992 to 2003. Debuted in the 1992 Mercedes-Benz E-Class , this engine family is relatively oversquare and uses 4 valves per cylinder. All engines in the family use a cast iron engine block and aluminum alloy cylinder head.

Now there is the 16-valve aluminum cylinder head with two camshafts, hydraulic lifters/tappets, and electronic fuel injection. Manufacturer produced a naturally aspirated engine as well as a supercharged engine - the M111 E20 ML (supercharger Eaton M62). The engine has the timing chain and the ECU system Bosch ME 2.1.

2024年12月5日 · Make sure you scan the codes from the 1996 E200. Your car has PEC fuel injection. The M111 2.2 /2.3 and M104 2.8 /3.2 engines has HFM Sequential FI. Thank you so much! I had all the injectors checked on the injector nozzle test machine, and four of them tested fine with no issues at all. I haven't cleared the codes yet.
