2017年2月16日 · I've always thought that the straight six AMG engines' cams and heads would work as a kit of sorts converting a regular 6.0 engine into a better breathing AMG style V12. I think the intake cam has the same specs as the regular engine, while the exhaust cam is revised with an offset timing pin. Otherwise it's the same cam. RENNtech offered the 7.4.

Too greats don't always make greatest. I'd get an r129 with a v12 or a w140 with a v12 and enjoy them at that... you can find w124's with v12's in europe every so often, but the motor is shoehorned ...

2020年8月26日 · Keep in mind that if it is in fact a real AMG modified M120, it will come in different sizes, 7.0, 7.2, and 7.3 liters. That also means you’ll need different size pistons and rings from OE. Mains and connecting rod bearings should be the same as OE.

2020年10月2日 · The block will be fully restored and pistons will be custom made (92mm - bit larger than the 91.5 used in the SL73 AMG). Rods need to be changed as well, but first I need to find a crankshaft I can use and that has been the biggest challenge. People have suggested using the 92.4mm OM603.972 crankshaft from 350std (same one used in C36 amg).

I recently had a BMW M760li prodject I removed the motor and transmission from a car with front end damage for a range rover prodject I did an engine swap.
