(I did finally test drive an M2 later, and quite liked the chassis, not finding it nearly as harsh as magazine reports made out. I expect the M2C to be even better.) So the way the M2 drove, coupled with the forum experiences, pushed me off the fence.

2016年6月10日 · The M2's power is nearly identical to a stage 1 tuned M235i and the 240i engine has been found to have more upside via tune. Tuners have attempted to tune the M2, BMS and AA8, and have found limited upside using 93 pump gas. Despite some internal part changes most likely to make it more reliable long-term, it is a tuned N55.

2021年9月9日 · Thanks for the comparison review. Always helpful when a person has owned both and can give a direct compare. I have a 2018 M240i and had considered an M2. But, decided on the 240i as a preferred daily driver. The comments here by others directionally match where my head was in the decision.

2020年4月30日 · There was a video of two Brits comparing the two cars side by side. Doing a bit of racing and then discussing each car as the drove. For street acceleration, the M240i and the M2 were pretty much even in rolling acceleration races and overall power. In 2017 Car and Driver listed the M2 and the M240i both in their 10 best cars of the year issue.

2020年4月10日 · No matter what the car, add-ons of any sort, including original equipment, always depreciate much faster than the vehicle itself. This means that a loaded 235 or 240 should depreciate faster than an M2, because the M2 has most of the goodies 'built-in'. The LSD will take a very large hit, because it is an expensive add-on that few people want.

2019年7月30日 · Have driven the M2/M2c, M4, M3cs, and new M5 in the last two years. Only the M2C on track, and while I agree that they addressed the base M2's braking weaknesses, the car is still pretty soft, imo, for a "competition" designation. The M3cs was the closest thing that felt "perfect" so far, but still had room for improvement.

2024年5月6日 · I have replaced the basic seats in my f22 with m2 comp seats. Original seats have no seat module but the comp seats do. Any info on how to get them to fire up…. I understand that I need to tap into CANbus and possibly provide ground / power. Anyone have a step by step guide pleeeeeeease Else I will have to go back to stock seats Thanks. Charlie

2023年1月17日 · The B58 has a forged crank and rods, but so does M235 and M2 N55 motor. When pushing big power through the B58 (or N55/N54), you do need to consider the fact that the fuel system, oiling systems, cooling systems, etc. weren't designed for that amount power thus you need to address that as well if you want the motor to last for the long term.
