2007年6月20日 · I have a 53 M37 that I am looking forward to putting a diesel in and I want to know some of the finer details. All of the bread trucks I can find in my area have the turbo 400. I want to keep a manual tranny. I was thinking of using the SM465 because It seems as if would be the best all around in terms of cost and reliability.

2025年1月23日 · The classic Army truck is now powered by a 5.9 L Cummins 6BT turbodiesel inline-six. Behind that is a Getrag G360 five-speed manual transmission and transfer case. Torque is split between a Dana 60 front axle and Dana 70 rear axle with 4.11 ratios. The truck still rides on the factory M37 chassis with 37-inch tires.

2009年10月2日 · From talking to a few fellows who have put 3-53s in M37s, pretty straightforward swap, get 2" more between frame and front axle and you'll be in business. Of course atleast two of the these three would be a big benefit: a gearing change (4.89 for OEM axles), an OD transmission, 38-40" tires. All three even better. Thanks!

2009年6月22日 · Bought a 1951 dodge m37 with 6300 original miles a couple months ago. Been planning things and have finally decided to drop in a complete drivetrain from a 94-98 dodge diesel. The drivetrain will be the cummins 6bt (With a 215 injection pump I have) NV 4500 5 spd trans the DHD transfer case dana 60 front axle with the dana 80 rear.
