Under this contract MECAR carried out design work as well as Load, Assembly, and Pack (LAP) for the M393A3 HEP-T and its associated training round fired from the 105 mm M68A2 rifled gun. The M393A3 HEP-T has seen combat use by the US Army and has a muzzle velocity of 731 m/s.
