The M40/M43 is an American tier 8 self-propelled gun. Development started in the spring of 1944 due to a shortage of M1918 guns for the M12. The vehicle was based on the M4 Sherman and featured a HVSS-type suspension. The design allowed the 155-mm M1 gun and 203-mm M1 howitzer to be interchangeable (an SPG with the latter was designated the M43).

The Semovente M43 Bassotto is an Italian tier 6 tank destroyer. In April of 1942, the Italian command came up with the idea to develop an assault tank destroyer with a 105 mm howitzer on the chassis of the Carro Armato P 40 heavy tank.

The Long Tom and its successor, the M43, became the most powerful Allied artillery. The M40 fought in the battle for Cologne in 1945. Both vehicles were used during the Korean War.

2023年7月29日 · As for the Sav m/43 in particular, it's aggressively mediocre. Both gun choices are slightly but noticeably worse than equivalents in other nations, it's not fast, it's not armoured. Its only standout feature is 14 degrees of gun depression, which is great but far from critical on a tank best played well outside spotting range.
