The M4A3 (British Sherman Mk.IV) M4A3. The M4A3 was first delivered by the Ford Motor Company in June 1942, alone delivering 1690 machines by September 1943. It was produced to a total of 5015 by all manufacturers combined.

M4A3(75)W – improved M4A3 75mm with vision cupola for the commander, a loader’s hatch, 47° hull front, and “wet stowage” (water+glycerine mixture) for the ammunition. Total production: 3071 (February 1944 – March 1945).

2003年6月12日 · On Iwo Jima 4th and 5th Tank (M4A3s) used camouflage and supplementary armor, while 3rd Tank used M4A2s with no camo and no supplementary armor. Dr. Ang's model depicts a vehicle from Captain Bob Neiman's C Company, 4th Tank and should be an M4A3.

Marine Corps Shermans can be a bit of a trick to model since the modifications used in 1944-45 were often peculiar to individual tank companies within each of the battalions. Likewise, the camouflage was apt to be a bit idiosyncratic.

2003年10月26日 · I finally had the courage to post the pics of my M4A3 105. I wanted to depict it in a winter camo hastily done by crew on the field. I assumed that they did not use airbrushes but just ordinary paint brushes applying paint hurriedly and unevenly on the tank leaving some tight spots unpainted.
