2017年2月28日 · The M50D-R1 manual trans is pretty robust. Not much goes wrong with them. Only thing I can think of is the 3 rubber plugs at the top of the shift tower can dry up and seep gear oil. But that's about it. And as for the auto trans, I really don't have any experience with it but I'm sure others do. Here's some info I had saved:

It would take a trip to a dealer parts counter to verify that all other internal part numbers are actually the same. 2001+ 2.3/2.5/3.0 continue to use the original style M5OD-R1 as in earlier years.
