It was registered M539 URX and taken to Dennis with no interior to be used as a test bed. It is believed that it remained in an unpainted state and was tested to virtual destruction on the various test tracks. A news item in a trade magazine at the time gave details.

The bus features in the section of the site, dating from 2007. To re-cap, whilst it carries a then new Alexander ALX500 body, it was fitted with an 'R' type front as it is believed the front of the ALX500 had still to be finalised. It was initially registered M539 URX and was taken to Dennis with no interior to be used as a test bed.

2022年1月25日 · Over the last few months I've really enjoyed watching the M539 Restorations channel on YouTube. Many of the cars that he has acquired for "refreshing" are some of my own favorites (90's 8 Series, early 00's 7 series and of course the E60 M5)

His attention to details, both with cars and video production, is excellent. I really like his work. He doesn't cut corners and likes things original.
