Use RealOEM and look at the year M5 that it came out of. Los Gatos, CA. USA. Basically, any M60 or M62 or S62 trans will fit behind the M62 V-8, Nothing else will.

2008年2月8日 · Can a N62 run a S52 zf 5mt or a S52 run a N62 6mt? N62 is the v8 4.8 found in 550i E60, 650i, etc. Compatible with the 4.0 liter, Very similar to the 335i twin turbo trans's 6mt, but not completely sure on the differance. Real oem lists this trans with a RMFD msrp of ~ 3600. the e46 M3 6mt has a RMFD msrp of ~$5500!! so def not the same trans.

Also, I remember that the 2002 trans tunnel is rather small, so it will require modification to fit whichever trans you select. This is a VERY ambitious project, esp since you admittedly have scant electrical knowledge.

2019年5月20日 · They replaced the factory 2.8 L M52B28 inline-six with a rebuilt 4.4 L M62B44 V8 fed by a BMW E39 540 fuel pump. The drivetrain consists of a ZF S6-53 (BMW 3.0d) six-speed manual transmission with a welded M62 bellhousing and four-puck clutch, custom driveshaft, and factory rear end.

2017年4月24日 · You can buy gearbox converters to allow non V8 gearboxes to fit the M62, not sure if they work with the flywheel cps though. Also you need a clutch spacer apparently. Search Bmw V8 gearbox on eBay for a couple of proper V8 gearboxes and some adapters.
