2015年5月27日 · The new Enigma 8x8 armoured modular fighting vehicle (AMFV) is designed by Emirates Defense Technology (EDT) to meet the current and future combat needs of the armed forces. The armoured infantry fighting vehicle can be equipped with a 155mm/39-calibre M777 lightweight howitzer.

The Enigma is an 8×8 wheeled amphibious armored personnel carrier developed by Emirates Defense Technology in UAE. It was introduced at IDEX 2015. The driver sits at the front-left side with the engine to his right. The turret is in the middle, and the passenger compartment, which accommodates 8 soldiers with their gear, is located at the rear.

Initially developed for the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army as their next generation Medium Force weapon, the M777 has become the benchmark for 155mm Lightweight Towed Artillery Systems. To date, the system has been selected by U.S., Canadian, Australian, and Indian forces, with total orders currently exceeding 1,200.

At the show, BAE Systems is displaying a model of its M777 155mm howitzer fitted to the top and rear of the Enigma 8x8 vehicle from Emirates Technology Company (ETC).
