The M7/Caseless Submachine Gun (M7/SMG) is a personal defense weapon developed and manufactured by Misriah Armory. It is commonly used by infantry, special forces, and vehicle crews of the United Nations Space Command armed forces.

The M7 SMG can be a devastating weapon when dual-wielded against Elites and Brutes. Dual-wielding an M7 SMG with a plasma-based weaponry works extremely well against shielded targets. Short controlled bursts with a single SMG is required to maintain ammo and effective range when engaging Covenant forces.

The M7 Caseless Submachine Gun, more simply known as the SMG, is a close-range UNSC infantry weapon. Like the Halo 1 Assault Rifle, it's an inaccurate, yet effective bullet hose, with a 60-round clip able to be discharged in 4 seconds flat.

The M7 SMG is always a devastating weapon when dual-wielded against Elites and Brutes, and is brutal against Grunts and Jackals and Flood forms. It is, however, less effective against Drones, as their erratic flight patterns make them hard to target.

The M7 submachine gun is a UNSC-issued, gas-operated weapon capable of continuous fire. The substantial kickback necessitates that the user constantly readjust their aim during sustained fire. When wielded two at a time, the SMG becomes particularly deadly.

2021年5月14日 · Compared with modern contemporaries with similar barrel lengths, it's 427 m/s is very good. For example, the Colt 9mm SMG has a muzzle velocity of only 396 m/s, and the MP5 only 400 m/s. While this is lesser on the list of pros, it's still noteworthy nonetheless. And that practically wraps up my reasons for why the M7 is a good SMG.

I've been out of the Halo lore scene for a few years (popping in and out during Halo Infinte), so I may have already missed this discussion, but has anyone ever canonically explained how the M7 SMG (Halo 2/3/ODST SMG) works as a functional weapon?
