2024年4月22日 · There’s very little difference between M829A1 and M829A2, giving the M1A1HC M829A2 would practically turn it into a M1A2 and I could see that resulting in a up-tier to 11.7. The T-90M isn’t the main concern for M1’s, it’s the Leopard 2A7V and Strv 122 series of vehicles.

2023年1月7日 · Title. Personally, I see it as a complete mistake. There are now four Abrams at 10.7, plus two at 11.0. The M1A1 is still objectively the worst of them all as it has Gen 1 gunner thermals (unlike the AIM SA), doesn't have the improved HC turret armour of the M1A1 HC/M1A1 AIM SA/M1A2/M1A2 SEP, doesn't get M830A1, and doesn't have commander thermals or IRCM.

2024年4月22日 · From the sources I can find, M829A2 is essentially M829A1 with a stepped tip, improved velocity and improved alloy properties. I don’t think any of these aspects make it anti-ERA capable per se. The tip and material composition are major factors, and the tip is arguably the one thing that must be defeated (unless you’re Zaslin) on a dart.

2020年11月6日 · M829A1 is already in game, KE-W on M60 AMBT. It has 583mm of penetration, while T-90A has 550 +120mm of armour. 670mm of armour to be exatct. (Which is still to low, because irl it has more than 750mm)
