Maximilian Büsser broke the chains and standards to initiate a rebellion called MB&F (Maximilan Büsser & Friends) with independent watchmakers: they are the friends. MB&F turns traditional watchmaking into creative timekeeping Machines.

Born out of Maximilian Büsser’s vision to deconstruct traditional watchmaking into 3-dimensional kinetic art, MB&F is dedicated to designing and crafting small series of radical concept watches by bringing together talented horological professionals who share the same values.

At MB&F we love to create Machines. MB&F’s Horological and Legacy Machines came first, reinterpreting fine watchmaking into kinetic, 3-dimensional sculptures for the wrist. Co-Creations came next: collaborations with partners, giving birth to table clocks, music boxes and other forms of mechanical art.

MB&F Curated Artists From fine photography to the most complex pieces of mechanical or kinetic art, we welcome incredible artists in our dedicated spaces - offering them a platform to showcase their creations.

We released our first co-designed timepiece in 2021, bringing Bvlgari’s colorful gemstones to MB&F’s Legacy Machines, fusing the best of two different yet complementary DNAs and expertise.

The first editions of the LM Split Escapement were presented in MB&F’s classic Legacy Machine case – but the collection now also features the EVO case, conceived for a more active lifestyle.

Despite being visually worlds apart from the M.A.D.1, the M.A.D.2 shares the same heartbeat: the La Joux-Perret G101 movement found in the M.A.D.1S, now enhanced with a bespoke jumping hour module developed by MB&F. Swiss-made, Swiss-assembled.

Our Legacy Machines pay tribute to 19th century watchmaking excellence, reinterpreting traditional horological complications while remaining authentic 3-dimensional MB&F Machines. The collection has also given birth to EVO editions, compatible with collectors’ active lifestyles.

The Legacy Machine Perpetual EVO is an award winning perpetual calendar watch with a shock-absorbing “FlexRing” system – that makes for the most robust Machine ever to emerge from MB&F. This is not a watch for sports.

Conceived and developed by MB&F, and engineered and crafted by L’Epée 1839 – Switzerland's only specialised high-end clock manufacture – Arachnophobia is the result of MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser’s overactive imagination blending with his appreciation of art.
