The Motor Coach Industries MC-5 series were highway coaches produced from 1963-80. The Canadian version was named the MCC-5 and MCC-5A. They featured two baggage doors on each side unlike the previous models and optional power steering. 267 were built in total. 266 were production units and one was a MCX-5 prototype.

The MC-5 series were among the first buses assembled at Greyhound's assembly plant established at Pembina, North Dakota in 1963. During the production years, the basic MC-5 was updated with A, B, and finally C added to the basic model number.
