Using what info I can find the transmit radio would beacon and ID just fine..until I put the RX radio inline. Once the IDO tried to beacon it keyed up for a second then let the magic smoke out of the TX radio....

2022年11月19日 · Motorola did make a telephone style handset for the MCS2000 series. They still make a similar style handset for the XPR Trbo series mobiles - P/N RLN6252A. Not sure what the Part number was for the MCS2000.

2024年10月23日 · Nice to see real radios once in a while. Our SAR team still uses MCS2000 VHF 110 watt decks. Can't kill them. I'll have to snap a few pics of my trucks. Work truck has 4 8500 with dual deck E5 control heads. Tight fit but only option I had in the Nissan. Both JK and JT run 8500's with O3 HHCH.

2024年4月26日 · If you're thinking about marrying two Wouxuns together, forget about it. They have a desense problem because of the lack of shielding. I've seen maxon radios work somewhat decent and I have heard that people have married two Motorola MCS2000 with decent results. I haven't heard if anyone has tried a couple of XTLs.
