The Dassault MD.452 Mystère is a 1950s French fighter-bomber. It was a straightforward development of the successful Dassault Ouragan. After the success of the Ouragan, Dassault was working on a more advanced machine which would take to the air in early 1951 as the MD.452 Mystère I.

In 1950, Marcel Dassault produced the first French transonic aircraft, the MD 452, based on the fuselage of the MD 450 Ouragan, equipped with a thinner wing. Using the experience from the Ouragan’s first flights, Marcel Dassault managed to use a pre-production plane to improve its aerodynamic features.

The M.D 452 IIA is very simmilar to the earlier M.D 450 Mystere, but it relies more on its performance at higher speeds. At its BR is not the fastest nor the slowest, it sits in a middle point, with a similar playstyle to delta wing fighter, since it bleeds energy quickly during sharp turns and other movements.
