MEG and EEG are closely related but still there are differences. EEG detects the electric potentials generated by neural currents instead of the corresponding magnetic fields. However, it turns out that the task of inferring the sites of brain activation is often more straightforward from MEG than from EEG.

EEG measures the brain wave activities. While a CAT scan gives information on the structural aspects of the brain (like stroke, bleed, tumors etc) the EEG provides information on the functional aspect of the brain (like seizures etc). Studies of EEG changes on people who use marijuana frequently do show some changes, but this should not change the accuracy of the test for predicting whether you have a seizure disorder.
