2018年6月30日 · I bought an MFJ-2982 Feather-lite vertical for camping and travel but can't seem to get it to work properly. We tried it for Field day last week and it was a bust again. I am wanting to tweak this antenna and get it to at least function marginally as I think is has potential but MFJ did not do a good job in making or documenting it.

2025年2月20日 · IMO those MFJ lightning protection switches are a defective design that may work with some combinations of antennas where the RF ground is earth ground (like verticals). But with any combination of dipoles that have a floating RF ground they won't work if you expect your tuned SWR to be what you got without the switch in the circuit.

I got the chip and it does indeed go into KISS mode now, and APRSIS32 is working fine . . . the new snag is my icom 2200h does not transmit. The TNC shows PTT light and a terminal program shows good connectivity, so the issue is with the ICOM.
