I spoke to Brian at brp corp, and he suggested starting the build from the front to the back. The questions are what dimensions are key? I realize the relationship of the barrel, bearing, and trunion, but how do you go about starting this?

2022年3月12日 · For reweld of cut receivers. Slides in from front, buts against protrusion in rear of the receiver. Use it to check rails- if your rails don't fit in the slots, save your time and throw them away.

2009年10月16日 · if you want an 80% , go with BRP for sure. You can follow my build in my sig. line on the mg42 board. Just make sure you have a good welder, a dremel = cutting disks for smaller stuff, and a decent milling machine is a huge plus. Thing with stamped metal is that it bends and warps pretty easily, it can be frustrating to work with and machine.

2013年4月17日 · Finally started my build. This is a war time Mg42 converted to MG1... I think. Started installing a modified BRP bolt blocker. I milled 1mm down into the reciever. 1mm off the bottom of part of the blocker. Shortened the front blocker to allow room for the screw. Next drill 2 countersinked holes throuh the receiver and grind out the rails.

Any input would be appreciated! Are the semi conversions done properly? New rails? Is it plumb? between $500 and $2500.
