2021年4月2日 · MGS4 was not appearing as an option to patch even after manually adding the imported_patch.yml into the 'patches' folder. I looked around the RPCS3 wiki, tinkered with the code and found out I just needed to add one line of code and to change the file type of the txt file containing the patch.

Extra settings. On Windows, look up power in your bottom corner search bar and find power and sleep settings.

2021年8月7日 · MGS4 was specifically designed and coded to work for the PS3, so it's not compatible with anything else. The PS3 has a weird architecture involving the processor, so it was a bitch to make games for it early on. They would have to fully remake and recode MGS4 (sort of how they did Demon's Souls) to get it to run on anything else.

2021年9月14日 · The controller locking up issue I had was easily resolved but took way too much searching to figure it out. What you need to do is get a merging program like PS3merge go to your game file>MGS4>PS3_GAME>USIDR and merge the mgs folder. There are a few demo.dat.0000 files that need to be merged that are causing the controller not working properly.

It might have felt more balanced, but as you can see, MGS4 has the largest ratio of cutscenes in the series as you spend almost half the time watching (or triggering those flashback memories & messing with the camera during cutscenes)
